A little bit about me... I recently moved to the Los Angeles area. I really love it here! I lived in Bozeman Montana for many years, a beautiful picturesque surprisingly cool small town. I loved it there. I miss it there. One thing I don’t miss is shoveling snow. My musical taste is eclectic. My playing is a bit that way too. I was trained as a classical pianist since I began to walk, perhaps before, I don't really remember. My mother and father were both musicians and so, all of my siblings and I learned how to sing and play the piano, at least a little, and a couple other instruments along the way. I stayed with singing and the piano, but learned a little flute, oboe, cello, French horn and percussion, all of which has served me well, in my composition endeavors. I’ve decided to start teaching again. I miss having musical minds to shape. I really do enjoy helping others learn and progress musically. I teach piano, voice, theory, composition and flute. Please, email me with any questions or comments. I would be happy to expand on my musical composition style, my teaching philosophy or to have a conversation with you. Mention if you are looking for lessons, and I would be happy to include my rates and a mini-resume. mailto:info@katekohler.com Be sure to put something fun in the subject line to fool my spam filter!
