MORE INFO ABOUT KATE:
I have taught music privately for more than 30 years and specialize in teaching intermediate and advanced piano, composition, and songwriting. I customize lessons to fit individual student’s ability, temperament, and learning style. My aim in my studio, is for my students to develop a life-long love of learning music and to flourish as artists. I am passionate about music and thoroughly enjoy teaching students of all ages. I look forward to working with you.
I am an active composer and recording artist. I have released 7 CD’s of my original piano compositions, the most recent one in the spring of 2015. And continue to release songs on my patreon and on YouTube. I have also collaborated on several other recording projects with my family, and have an active performance schedule. Music is my passion and I continue to express myself through teaching, composing and performing.
A note about lessons ONLINE: Video lessons work best for students who are 12 years or older. For younger kids (especially the little ones), I ask that a parent be present for some or all of the lesson at first.
You can learn to play the piano, compose songs or make music from the convenience and privacy of your own room!!! For ONLINE lessons you will need a device with internet access and a camera and microphone that can see and hear your piano or keyboard. I need to be able to see your hands and hear you play!
