My nephew, Sam, is pretty amazing. He’s been composing since he was 12 or 13 (he’ll turn 18 this summer) and continues to be inspired by music. He started an ensemble dedicated to new music, and he’s raising money to do a recording with that ensemble. The recording will include pieces by Sam, pieces by my brother Leonard Read Kohler and  one by a friend of ours, Jamie Koffler.
