Happy Valentine’s Day! Which means that my birthday is right around the corner and this year I have a special request. A couple of years ago, I started teaching a few lessons on Skype. For those of you who don’t know what Skype is, it’s another way to chat online, but it’s coolest feature is the video phone call. At first it was just an experiment, with the bonus of getting to keep in touch with some of my more advanced students through weekly and semi-weekly lessons. I got to keep an eye on how they progressed in the world and in music. I love that the internet makes this a possibility!

Well, it turns out that Skype lessons work really well! There are a few requirements including a high speed internet connection and either a laptop or a computer with a moveable camera, so I can see your fingers on the keyboard. There’s also age requirement, let’s say 15 and younger need to have special permission.

I’m currently accepting piano and composition students on Skype and would love to talk with you about the possibility!
